Dr. Saba Khan

Dr. Khan is a dedicated periodontist near Schaumburg who loves nothing more than helping her patients experience fully restored smiles that are healthy and confident.

Discovering her interest in dentistry while in high school, she appreciated the fact that the profession required a combination of both art and science. But what led to her pursuit of periodontics was the fact that it could truly change a person’s health and appearance in positive ways.

After graduating from Indiana University, School of Dentistry, Indianapolis for Periodontics & Implant Dentistry, she has gone on to become a periodontal and dental implant specialist. Practicing since 2005, she is considered an expert in All-on-4.

In addition to her time spent in private practice, she is also a faculty member at the University of Chicago – Illinois (UIC) College of Dentistry. Holding this position since 2007, she works within the periodontics department helping post-graduate residents and evaluating, implementing, and supervising students in traditional and state-of-the-art periodontal therapies and dental implant procedures.

She also teaches various continuing education courses for dental professionals.

To stay abreast of the latest changes and developments in dentistry, she remains an active member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Khan is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology & Dental Implants – something that only 1/3 of all periodontists achieve.

When she’s not busy repairing and rebuilding smiles, you’ll find her spending time with her husband, Mazhar, and her sons, Mubashir and Ibrahim. Because she has remained dedicated to public service for more than 15 years, Dr. Khan is an elected Village Trustee.
